Caroline is HOME...

Heidi Mom and Caroline came home today. Everyone needed some time to hold her and love her. When I started taking pictures, Isaac was quick to point out that he didn't have a picture with her yet. I love the one of her holding his finger, it gives scale to how little she is. Zach was amazing, he was so gentle, and couldn't get enough of touching her soft hair. Savannah, Charlotte, and Maddie, just enjoyed holding her and looking at her.

Then we wanted a full family shot. What a great family!

The next day, September 3, 2011

Savannah and I took a trip to the hospital Saturday morning to visit when Heidi was a little more rested. Savannah climbed right up with her mom and sister, pretty cute. I was able to hold Caroline for a couple of hours. They won't be this little for long. It all passes really fast. Caroline was 6 lbs. 15 ozs. and 19.5" long.

Caroline Grace has arrived!!

I was able to be in Alabama for the birth of Isaac and Heidi's 5th child. Isaac gave me a call when birth was eminent. I packed up the kids and headed to the hospital. The kids were excited to meet their new little sister. Zach was really good, quite amazed at this little person who was smaller than he was. Little does he know how much she will replace him in the next little while, the earth will revolve around someone other than him. After everyone held her, the nurse let me give her her first sponge bath. I decided her little backside was much more modest than the front. Then the family just enjoyed looking at her for a little while. More pictures to come....

Life's simple pleasures...

Isaac taught Zach all about olives on fingers today...not much better for a little guy.

Here we go again....no painting today!

Here is another bag. These are big bags. This is a regular sized dining room chair. Each bag is so different, they all have a personality of their own. I need to buy the grommets for this bag. The sash is finished, but, I couldn't find the grommets I needed. Soon....

Abstract...Richard's new venture....

Richard starting painting preteen, I'm not sure of the age. He put the paints away for a lot of years, but has now decided to take up the brush again. He has always done landscapes, but has decided to branch out into the abstract. Here is some of his work.

I'm getting into this...

I've really enjoyed making the bags for Rachel and Heidi. One day I will make one for me.
